Lady Gaga narrowly avoided joining the ranks of young pop stars who have shared high-profile smooches with Madonna when the music icon made a surprise appearance on Saturday Night Live.

Madonna performed with Lady Gaga on the fictional MTV 4 music show, Deep House Dish, hosted by D.J. Dynasty Handbag (Keenan Thompson).

Gaga and Madonna jokingly fought on stage, with Madge demanding at one point, “What the hell is a disco stick?”

Later, Dynasty asked them to kiss and make up, though they ended up sharing a three-way kiss with the host. Was it an homage to Madonna’s kisses with Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera at the VMAs in 2003? We can only guess.

Madonna, with her new “Greatest Hits” album Celebration, has just acquired the top spot on the UK album list.

This marks her 11th number one in the UK. That ties her with Evis and puts her just behind the Beatles for most #1 albums in UK history.

It seems Michael Jackson may not have been quite as fond of Madonna as you might expect from her moving tribute at last week’s VMAs.

The pair became friends in the early nineties, and went on several high profile dates, including showing up to the 1990 Academy Awards ceremony on each other’s arm.

But in a nine-year-old filmed interview with his friend Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, due to be shown on TV this week, Michael claims the affection was purely one-sided.

He told Boteach: “I think she  likes shock value and she knows how to push buttons on people. I think she was sincerely in love with me and I was not in love with her. She did a lot of crazy things. I knew we had nothing in common.

“She is not sexy at all. I think sexy comes form the heart in the way you present yourself.”

Madonna can be seen sharing a brief kiss with her reported boyfriend Jesus Luz in her new music video.

Luz, 22, plays a topless DJ in the short for the singer’s new single Celebration, which was premiered for the first time today.

The video begins with Madonna dancing by herself in an enclosed space.

The scene then cuts away to reveal the singer teasing Luz by pretending to kiss him.

The glamorous 51-year-old then plants a quick kiss on her boyfriend’s lips before coldly pushing him away.

The video for Celebration, which is being released to accompany Madonna’s forthcoming greatest hits compilation, also features the singer’s eldest daughter, Lourdes.

Madonna has hired more than 400 bodyguards after receiving death threats from Balkan fanatics, who worked to keep her from performing her Sticky & Sweet Concert in front of 30,000 fans in Belgrade, Serbia on Monday night.

The controversial Material Mama arrived in disguise and surrounded by a posse of burly bodyguards after receiving threatening messages ahead of her first performance in the Serbian capital, The Daily Star reports.

Despite rumors that she had called it off with Jesus Luz and sent him back to his play pen, Madonna and the youngster still seem to be going strong. Or at least going… well they’re not broken up like we thought. The pair were spotted jetting off to Spain on her private plane yesterday.

Taking time out from writhing on stage in fishnets, Madonna drank in the culture of Spain today.

Joined by her toy-boy lover Jesus Luz and her 12-year-old daughter Lourdes, the trio took in the sights at Madrid’s Royal Palace and Prado Museum.

It looked like a welcome break for the singer, who performed at the city’s Vicente Calderon stadium two days ago.

Appearing yesterday to tour an African village in the country of Malawi, where she’s buying adopting a kid, she wore a Chanel sweatsuit (similar to the one pictured above) that retails for a whopping $2800. Yes, I believe Madonna was missing the day sensitivity chips were handed out, don’t you?

And who in the world buys and wears a sweatsuit worth that much money? I have a few sweatsuits, and guess what – I SWEAT in them, therefore, I do not want them to be worth a mortgage payment. Nobody expects Madge’s Vadge to go around in something from Wal-Mart, but when you’re wearing an outfit that has couture stamped all over it in front of a village of starving kids, there’s something seriously wrong.

An unnamed European buyer bought the picture, which had been

The London Sun reported that Madonna is working towards a concert deal that would make her $25 million for a two show appearance in Dubai. Dubai, which is the capital of money, might even fork over $15 million if she does just one show.

That’s a crazy deal. Supposedly the extra cash comes from some richie rich that will pay $10 million to have a private show.
