Amid repeated reports that she and Chris Brown are sneaking around together, Rihanna says there is no need to keep her ex half a football field away.

Brown, who will be sentenced today after pleading guilty to assauling the “Umbrella” singer in February, is under court order not to communicate with her at all.

Moreover, he is not to come within 50 yards of her – and 10 yards if they’re both at the same event. Rumors suggest the two have hooked up in NYC recently.

“If asked, we will tell the court that all that’s necessary is a level-one order: That Brown not annoy, molest or harass her,” Rihanna’s lawyer Donald Etra said.

“No stay-away order was ever requested by Rihanna.”

Could this legally clear the way for the reconciliation some believe has already begun in secret? It will be up to judge Patricia Schnegg to decide that issue.

At the last hearing, Schnegg said she’d consider Rihanna’s request for a less-restrictive order against Chris Brown, which could allow the pair to be together.

Etra wouldn’t comment on whether the singers are still romantically involved. Rihanna will not be attending the hearing. Brown is required to be there.

Rihanna and Chris Brown have fuelled reunion rumors after dining across the street from each other.

The couple – who were banned from meeting by a court order after Chris pleaded guilty to assaulting her last month – ate on opposite sides of New York’s famous Broadway, in the city’s theatre district, on Tuesday (28.07.09).

Gossip website Radar reports: “Rihanna was seen at the Cipriani Downtown Restaurant while Chris looked glum while waiting in his car after dinner, across the street at Via Dei Mille Restaurant.”

Chris reached a plea bargain for attacking the Barbados-born beauty before his case went to trial.

Under the terms of the agreement, Chris is the subject of a restraining order which sees him banned from coming within 50 yards of the ‘Umbrella’ singer.

If he is found to have violated the terms, he might lose the plea bargain – which saw him receive five years probation and 180 days of community labor rather than any jail time – and be charged with a misdemeanor.

It has been reported that Chris will only be found to have breached the order if Rihanna complains to police.

Earlier this week, it was claimed Rihanna and Chris had stayed at Manhattan’s Trump International Hotel and Tower.

Rihanna’s lawyer has confirmed she will testify against her boyfriend, singer Chris Brown, if she is subpoenaed to appear in court.

The R&B singer, who is currently fighting two felony charges of assaulting the pop princess, is currently free on $50,000 (£35,700) bail after he was granted a continuance at his arraignment hearing on 5^th March 2009.

Brown is due back in court on April 6^th 2009 where his girlfriend may be called to testify against him by prosecutors, adamant to put the famous singer up to the full extent of the law.

Brown allegedly beat up Rihanna in a late-night row on the 8^th February 2009 which left her face battered and bruised.

The attack allegedly occurred after the 21-year-old singer discovered a three-page text message from his former lover on his mobile phone.

Brown tried to push Rihanna out of the car but failed to do so as she was wearing a seatbelt. He then allegedly punched her and threatened, “I’m going to beat the s*** out of you when we get home. You wait and see!’

It was reported that Rihanna attempted to call her assistant but received her answerphone, were she pretended to tell her to call the police.

The testimony of Detective De Shon Andrews, from Los Angeles Police Department, detail that Brown threw a ‘barrage of punches’ at Rihanna’s face, bit her ear and pressed her neck until she almost passed out.

The attack was reported to have caused Rihanna’s mouth to fill with blood, which splattered all over her clothing. The papers suggest that injured Rihanna managed to free herself by kicking Brown away and gouging his eyes. A passerby called the police after they heard Rihanna’s screams and cries for help.

Star Magazine is doubling down on it’s cover story from two weeks ago – the hilarious one about Brad Pitt sexing up the nanny and Angelina slapping him in
a fit of nanny-hating rage. They takes their own story as fact and now

Normally I would not put “reportedly” in the title of a story that comes from People Magazine, because they tend to only run stories with solid information and you can pretty much report it like it’s true. In this case I just don’t want to believe it. It was easy enough to ignore all the tabloids that claimed Rihanna still loved Chris, because even if that was accurate it didn’t mean she was back with him. Law enforcement sources are getting more specific regarding Sunday night’s Chris Brown arrest – and cops who photographed Rihanna’s injuries say they are “horrific.”

The photos show major contusions on both sides of the singer’s face – there is serious swelling and bruising. Her lip is split and her nose bloody.

Moreover, there are bite marks on one of her arms and on several fingers.

According to reports, Rihanna claims Chris Brown struck her with his fists and that’s what did the damage. There was no object used in the alleged attack.

Rihanna refused treatment at the scene, but before she left cops took photos. According to reports, the photos alone are “devastating proof of abuse.”

Also, it was not Rihanna who personally called 911. Someone in the area heard her screams during the alleged assault and placed the urgent call for help.

According to a source close to the investigation, Chris Brown “fled on foot” from the scene following the disturbing attack. Two officers from the LAPD found Rihanna in Brown’s rented silver Lamborghini “beaten really badly and hysterical.”
