Gwyneth Paltrow: Shampoo Is Harming Our Kids

Actress Gwyneth Paltrow’s Web site Goop is causing a lot of controversy.  The 36-year-old mom-of-two is now saying that shampoo is harming our children – causing cancer and other serious ailments.  Do you think she’s right?

Paltrow writes that there is a link between the chemicals found in household products, including shampoo, that can be dangerous to our children.

She writes:

“Fetuses, infants and toddlers are basically unable to metabolize toxins the way that adults are, and we are constantly filling our environments with chemicals that may or may not be safe,” Paltrow writes. “The research is troubling; the incidence of diseases in children such as asthma, cancer and autism have shot up exponentially and many children we all know and love have been diagnosed with developmental issues like ADHD [Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder].”
