Wow. We’re only six days into 2009 and there are SO many breakups to report. We heard about Katy Perry and Travis McCoy calling it quits right before New Year’s, but there are already plenty of new ones to add to the list.

• Jennifer Love Hewitt and Ross McCall have decided not to get married. “They broke up over the holidays and have ended their engagement. They’re both really sad about this. Even their friends are surprised; they seemed really happy. Everyone just wants the best for both of them,” a source tells People. • After 2 1/2 years of marriage, Patricia Arquette and Thomas Jane have split citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the divorce. Patricia wants sole custody of their daughter Harlow, 5, with visitation for Thomas. She even hired legal superstar, Laura Wasser, to represent her in the case.
