Did Lindsay Lohan Steal $400,000 Worth of Jewelry?

Did actress Lindsay Lohan really steal $400,000 worth of Dior jewelry? Lindsay, 22, posed for a feature in Elle U.K. on June 6 and it was discovered that jewels from the photo shoot were missing. Two days later, reps from the studio went to the police and reported a pair of diamond earrings and a necklace stolen. Coincidentally, it was the same set that Lindsay wore in the photos, according to Star magazine.

Just last year, Lindsay was spotted partying in an $11,000 fur coat that was most definitely not hers. She claimed to have accidentally taken it from the coat closet at a NYC club. The rightful owner, Masha Markova, was not amused and eventually did manage to get the fur back.

While the folks at Elle U.K. are not accusing Lindsay, they are conducting a thorough investigation. The magazine even released a statement saying that it “has no reason to believe that Lindsay Lohan was in any way responsible and has no further comment to make.”
